I want to make my exhaust louder?

I have a 2001 Silverado 5.3 I had a flowmaster muffler but I just recently changed it to a cherry bomb and theres not that much of a difference in the loudness, my question is if I change the stock piping that comes from the engine to the muffler will that make it sound louder?
