Yesterday we had alot of thunder in our country and I saw a lighting bolt hitting something in the forest nearby, then I saw 4 sparks. 2 going to the right and 2 going to the left, dissapering in less than 1 second. What was it?

Off shore lifting equipment certificate?

Hope someone can please help. How does a lifting certificate for off shore differ from an on site insurance inspection certificate? I had a lifting company on site Today to carry out our 6 Monthly inspection on our lifting equipmnet (Slings, Eye-Bolts, Shackles Etc.) Prior to Today if i was ever shipping lifting gear off shore i would send a copy of the original certificate along with a copy of the 6 Monthly inspection certificate if the equipment had expired from the base certification date. But Today i was told the 6 Monthly inspection certificate was for use of the lifting gear On Site & On Site only if the equipment was being shipped off shore another inspection would have to be carried out & new certificate produced. Is this correct? how can the integrity of the lifting gear be deemed fit for purpose at my place of work yet need a diferent inspection, certificate for shipping to an oil platform.

Questions on a few rifles?

I am looking at getting a new .22 lr rifle. The models I have in mind are these. First off i was looking at a Marlin XT-22. It is a new rifle marlin just put out and I have not heard a lot about it. Computer Loud and I can't figure out why?

Ok my computer has been loud for like a month or two now. So I just cleaned it out like 3 or 4 days ago.. and I found a piece of plastic from my spray can i use to clean out the computer..And I found LOADS of Dust around my front fan. Hello everyone :) okay, so this year, i have been having really wierd dreams. In the past, I usually dream but i don't usually remember them. I usually only have one dream a night. But this year, every night, my dreams have been so vivid. Also, i dream a series of dreams every night, which never happened to me before. But last night, my first dream was my usual recurring dream of waking up and getting ready for school, always rushing trying not to miss the bus. Then All of a sudden, i'm at school, doing work, going to ALL my classes, and i actually had to think, cuz i actually thought that i was taking a chemistry test. After school got out, i found myself walking ON a railroad. (I live near a railroad by the river, but my they don't cross paths.) there were leaves all over the tracks wich got stuck to my shoes. When i got home, I ran upstairs, to go put all my books away. When i came down stairs, i found four leaves on the stairs, i picked them up and threw them outside. Then All of a sudden i was at McDonalds with my friends. I ordered a McChicken haha. But whe i was eating it, i pulled out metal springs and steel bolts out of my sandwich. Then I see a blonde guy (my age...17) looking over at me. He had A HUGE red heart shaped box. He gave it to me, and a love letter. Unfortunately, a lot of people today think that any behavior is fine until their neighbors complain. I know it used to be that we were considerate of neighbors 1st by asking them to tell us if our outdoor music was going to be offensive. I liked the old rule of keeping one's lifestyle limited to the boundaries of their property. (That included noise.) -- I have found that I need to approach these thoughtless neighbors. They often don't realize that they are a bother. I approach & ASK them if they would please turn down their music while I was sleeping. I'd inform them that I was a day sleeper. All of my neighbors were thoughtful enough to comply. The younger kids, I had to approach more than once. I explained that the volume setting they were using at the time was ALWAYS going to be too loud. It has since been a very peaceful neighborhood. Why does my left crank arm keep becoming wobbly?

I've replaced my left crank twice now on my GT Aggressor XC3 09. The axel is wearing the bit where it fits onto the axel away very quickly. I know they can become wobbly with over/under tightening the bolt. I did about 20 miles on it and it was loose once again, it's becoming very frustrating. At first the arm seemed solid but it later became loose. Can getting grit and dirt make it come loose? Aghhh please help!

Caliper bolts for 97 4x4 v8 dakota HELP!!?

i have this Dakota 4x4 with the 5.2 and noticed some noise coming from the driver side front wheel so i removed the wheel and saw one caliper bolt (pin) was missing (bottom one) so went to auto part store and bought 2 new ones but for some reason the new pin was too small for the hole but fit in the top one perfectly so i then bought an oversized caliper bolt and still was too small (just needed to be a little bigger) does anyone have any suggestions i could try? i recently heard that dakotas were famous for needing oversized bolts as they get older. do they come in different sizes? i really don't wanna replace the knuckle just for these stupid bolts any help is appreciated thank you

Nut will not loosen on my bicycle?

I have a Paris Sport road bike from the 70's that I recently acquired. The seat needs adjusted, but for the life of me I cannot get the bolt to loosen to raise/lower the seat. Ok I think I've unintentionally done something really stupid... I was in the shower with a bad stuffy nose and right nostril was completely clogged while my left wasn't. I was blowing out hard out of my left side only and all the sudden I head a loud pop and I immediately began to lose my balance on my left side. This is a tough question as it can be either or. It depends on what fan they put in there. If they were to throw a cheap crap fan then yes it would probably run louder. But if it is built with a noise canceling mount then no it won't. Also a cooler pad will help keep your fan quieter as it will not need to run as hard. Good luck.

2nd Interview - no response: what to do?

I think you have very good chances of making the JV or the varsity team. You could play all the way around or be the setter for your team. Keep practicing all of it too. Maybe work on your serving. You might be able to be a libero for the front or the back row if you are as good as you say you are. Maybe work on the approach for spiking if you want to be awesome in the front row. hello a few months ago i bought a 2007 GSXR 1000 with 4k miles on it i put about 1000 on it in those months and it was time to change the oil so i bought royal purple 10w-40 motor oil and a K&N wrench on oil filter. so i changed the oil didn't run into any problems sept getting old filter off no big deal put in 3.5 quarts like manual sayed torqued the oil drain bolt and done rode it around the lot a little then checked oil it was about a half inch above the low line. so 3 days lated i went out for first ride on new oil started it up the fuel injector light came on but when i turned bike off to get manual then back on it didn't come on again i got gas went about 4 miles and when i was in a slight lean my wheel spin oil a lil i didn't think to Much of it but a few seconds after i looked back and i was leaving a huge trail of smoke i cut off the engine asap and pulled over all the oil from my engine was leaking onto the pavement at high rates the oil filter didn't look like it was falling off and the drain bolt was still there i heard no noises or noticed and Performance changes when the oil leaked out WTF happend and how Much money am i looking at to make it go away

2006 ford diesel white smoke?

i have an 06 ford E-350 diesel, and unless its at operating temp, it misfires and puffs thick white smoke during acceleration. i know from experience that thick white smoke means the fuel has been injected but failed to ignite, plus i can feel the misfires. not a head gasket issue as it eats no coolant. mainly happens while driving during warm up but once it hits operating temp it runs like a top. could it be a cold compression issue? thanks in advance for any valuable info. also, please don't respond with "take it to a mechanic" because i am a mechanic and i'm just looking to find insider knowledge from someone that's dealt with this problem before i tear into it.

Airsoft snow wolf m99 trigger parts?

So I took apart my m99 because it was slam firing and it's the sears that aren't working. I know this because I brought it to a shop but they didn't have the parts. Now I'm not sure what the sears are so if someone can describe them that would help. I also know I kinda destroyed these two springs that seem to have held the spring back when I pulled the bolt back. i don't have much to say other than that you have a lot of single cards in the deck if you can eliminate the cards that are not major or get more major cards that will help put you in a winning position. too many single cards lowers chance that you will draw the cards you need in order to win but if you have multiple of the same cards (4 being max) your odds of drawing them increase. hope i helped a little iv been playing for several years now. you will need more cards.. with red there are several approaches direct damage with instants and sorcery and few creature cards. there is the speed approach where you play small creatures with haste.. etc those are a few red decks are often related to direct damage.

Unfortunately this is the result of using corrosive ammo and not cleaning your gun meticulously! It won't necessarily have ruined the rifle, but it will reduce the accuracy a teense. I've had, and do have several rifles that have suffered this fate. I wanted them anyway, and am quite happy with them the way they are! I have an Enfield #4 MKI that I had a tough time even getting a 30 cal cleaning rod to go through the bore, when I bought it! It shoots fine and is pretty darn accurate! This rifle also had a depression eroded into the bolt face where it had corroded also. I had that built back up and rehead spaced, as I didn't quite trust it the way it was. I'm not sure what the brown flat flakes are. They where also in this rifle! I don't think I'll ever see them in this gun anymore, though! You have done basically what I did, clean the crap out of it, shoot it and clean it again. Now you can enjoy it! :)

Taking a ferry to Tiberon or Sausalito for an afternoon in Marin, would be nice. Or if you want to get away for a little bit, you could go to the Hot Springs or the wineries up in Napa Valley. There's always Coit Tower, The Palace of Fine Arts, or the Science Museum in Golden Gate Park. I forget what it's official name is. A simple drive up or down the Coast Highway is a beautiful day trip. If you go south, you might pick up a cozy afternoon concert at Half Moon Bay, or drive a little further, and hit the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. It's a 2 hr. drive. There's a bunch of nude beaches all along the coast and some inland if you are so inclined. Great restaurants abound within and around The City. Some of the worst looking holes-in-the-walls are actually some of the best restaurants. There's never a shortage of things to do in the Bay Area. Just walking around the University of California Campus is rather pleasant, as well, or the Presidio in S.F. There are things to do for every size pocketbook, so come and have a great time. Don't forget to bring clothes to dress in layers. We're having very weird weather this year and it's unpredictable.

Detecting Horse abuse?

I Ride/care for and 11 year old warmblood cross. He spooks very easily and is very wirey around people and new objects such as jumps hoses and whips. My trainer and I have recently descovered some signs of past abuse. Such as random scars, odd markings on his hind legs, back, etc. He has weird moods that he gets into sometimes he gets really high and crazy and other times hes very quite and slow. He normally calms down when you give him treats and affection. Today when I arrived at teh barn he was calm but after he was tacked I walked away for about 2 minuets and when I can back he wouldnt let me come near him. If i walk towards him he oulled his head up and tried to back away from me. It took about 10 minuets before I could calm him down enough to bring him into the ring. Once I got on he calmed down a lot. It was the first time he has ever "freaked out" with me I knew when I first started workng with him that he got scared easily and my trainer and I were very suprised to see how quickly he started to trust me. I have been working with him for a little over a year and to this day he has never buck or bolted with me riding him. (he does this very often with other riders) We have created a strong bond over the last year and it was scary for me today to see how quickly he became scared of me. After I rode I spent about 2 hours with him. (i hosed him, grazed him and played with him) just to make sure he still trusted me and he was perfectly fine. My trainer asked me to go home and research some signs of abuse so we can find out what really happened to him in the past. If you know anything aobut abuse and the effect it can have on the horse in the future please respond. Everything helps .

Playing on loudness low bad for subwoofers?

I have two Planet Audios 1000Watt peak hooked up to a mono-block 1500watt. Its also 1100watt rms. Ive noticed for some time on my head unit which is a pioneer, going through the options theres a Loudness and when I go into it theres 3 other options ( off,high,low) when im playing bass on off its not all that great but when i put it on low my subs are bumping alot more than before and the bass is insane! The question is, is playing on loudness Low bad for my woofers?

Me and a friend have been working with recording vocals lately and mine are really loud. I was wondering if there is a way to get the loudness and static/peaks out of the track. PS3 Fan Crazy Loud! Help!?

I have had my PS3 for about 4 years and it has gone through hell with me playing it all the time. It used to get really crazy loud but it died down a little bit and it wasnt a big issue anymore. 4 years later, (today) I have noticed the last week the fan is kicking into super high gear and im not sure why. I have vacuumed all of the vents out 2 times after the vacuuming, I used a blower on the vacuum to shoot out the vents if anything was left. Heres the thing though... When I first turn it on even from 3 days or so rest, the fan is normal, then like 5 minutes later it goes to its second setting of loudness/speed. After another 5 minutes it gets even louder, and then it gets even louder than that after 10 minutes more. There is no way it is overheating after only 20 minutes of it being on. I sent it back to sony to fix earlier like 5 months ago because it overheated and the cpu fried. it was fixed and now the fan is loud as balls... My dad said it is because the barring the fan spins on is wearing out and needs some oil. If the oil on the barring doesnt work can someone tell me what might be going on? thanks.

Chevy colorado cooling issue?

I have had a hell of a time getting this truck cooling properly. I put in a new thermostat, that I know will open and close as I tested it before it went into the truck. This is what I did. Removed lower radiator hose to drain fluid. Removed the hose from the t-stat. Unbolt t-stat. Bolt new t-stat in place. Put a brand new radiator hose on. Filled truck up with dex-cool. Now here comes the problem. I left radiator cap off and started engine. Left the engine runnig for 30 minutes. T-stat never opens. The top radiator hose is hot. You can put your finger in the top of the radiator it is hot, however the bottom hose is not hot at all. And seeing as the bottom radiator hose is directly connected to the t-stat, it cant get hot enough to open, even though the temp gauge is over half way up. I have also installed a new water pump and fan clutch. Which I know work, cause if I take the t-stat out and put an empty housing in does the opposite and dosent get hot enough and the computer goes nuts. What the heck am i doing wrong here

Help with Hardware on Horse Trailer?

I have a horse trailer with swing out door with handle. The handle started to rust and the bolt came off the handle and there is no way to close it now. This week I have to trailer my horses into the vet and need to use my trailer. My question is what is the best hardware to use to put the handle back on? Loud neighbors in apartment?

I'm 15 and have a younger sister. My dad lives in an apartment and the people upstairs are soooo loud! We can't hear anyone else. But anyway the people upstairs never quiet down. How to get my kids to sleep in, in the morning?

How to remove a trunnion which is stuck in a Frigidaire washer?

I am trying to fix the leak problem from the tub seal of my frigidaire washer. Using resources availble in internet, I was able to remove the inner tub. It took a whole day to remove the inner tub even after removing the 5 bolts holding it due to the buildups. After removing two bolts and a metal plate, I was trying to remove the trunnion to access the tub seals. Unfortunately, it is not comming off. How can you tell when you're watching an award-worthy acting performance?

This question is really for those of you who may be actors, drama coaches, entertainment critics, or other film industry insiders, so please mention relevant experience when responding. Is there a way to tell when an acting performance (especially a lead performance) is worthy of being nominated for a major award? I've watched a lot of movies over the years, and I'm at a loss to explain how a good performance differs from a great one. I have a vague notion that I should believe I'm "seeing" a character on screen instead of the actor portraying that character, and that the portrayal should draw me into the story, but that could be just as easily accomplished through overacting and melodrama. Is there more to it, or is the nomination process influenced less by performance quality and more by popularity and studio politics?

My eight month old boxer puppy is afraid off everything and won't listen-any suggestions?

I got my boxer puppy when she was 3 months old and she's been a little scaredy cat since day one (she's now almost nine months). She runs from everyone, she won't go outside and when I do get her out there she"ll bolt back for the dog door or scratch at it till we let her in. She hasn't been abused and we try to give her plenty of attention but she still runs and hides at the sound of anything and everything. When you call for her to "come" she runs to her bed and cowers. She's house trained for the most part but its just getting her to go outside and stay outside that's the hard part. Anyone have any training suggestions? we've tried dog treats too with no success.

Go about your life as normal, and try to keep your mind off of it. So like 4 years agol, I got hooked into getting speakers and bang in my room, my room estereo wasnt good, if I try connecting more speakers the less power each would get. So I moved to a house and happen to find a stereo no speakers, philips magnavox, 1999, so its max volume went up to 40, but no way I would turn it up to 40 cuz it will blow all my 10 speakers around my room, I would bearly turn it up to 15 volumesl, and hily S*** it be so loud. Now if 20 then speakers would most likely burn. So yah the stereo was very strong. Time past and idk what I did to it. Now I have gotten a stereo on craigslist, philips magnavox. The same one I had found, and reason I got it was bcuz I thought it do the samething as the otherone. But it didnt. So im wondering hiw is it possible? Ear problem for more than 6 years please help?

This is going to be hard to explain but if you know anything please help. Everytime when I sneeze or yawn my ear goes loud and if I say "mmmmm" I can hear alot of bass in my ear; the only way to solve this loudness is to pull my nose in. Leafeon should be more offensive, like a set of Leaf Blade, X Scissor, Double Team, and Grasswhistle. Magnezone should have T bolt, T wave, Mirror Shot, and Tri Attack.Ad For Alakazam, I do not reccomend your set. MAke it strictly set up, or sweeper. Honestly, Alakazam sucks as setup, I like a set of Calm Mind Psychic, Energy Ball, and Focus Blast. But I have to still wonder where you'll get the pokemon.
