1997 Malibu headgasket v6?

i hired a guy to do my head gasket due to my car smoking from that area and also smoke and oil mixing in my coolant and stalling out in low rpm and not reving past 2k is there anything i should watch for and can i reuse my old bolts and what are common symptoms on this car
