If you are driving and lightning strikes within 100 feet can it harm you?

I was driving in a lightning storm earlier today when a lightning bolt hit a tree not 100 yards away from me, prior to this I felt fine. However immediately following I experienced severe headaches/joint pain/muscle pain and shocked myself when opening the door to my house. Is this normal or is this just in my head? Can lightning have an effect on you when it doesn't strike you directly?
